What you'll do:
As an Asia Pacific Paralegal based in Makati City, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s mission by ensuring robust legal processes are in place across regional offices. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with senior counsel and cross-functional teams to facilitate contract negotiations, manage document lifecycles, and uphold compliance standards. You will be responsible for maintaining meticulous records, administering electronic signatures, and coordinating knowledge management initiatives that strengthen operational efficiency. By providing essential administrative support and responding flexibly to new assignments, you will contribute directly to the success of humanitarian programmes throughout Asia Pacific. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders will be crucial in building strong relationships that underpin successful agreements and risk mitigation strategies.

Administer electronic signature workflows and coordinate with internal teams to streamline document execution.

Collaborate with legal counsel on knowledge management initiatives, document templates, and policy updates.

Conduct in-depth legal research on regional regulations and assist in monitoring compliance issues relevant to APAC operations.

Manage the notarisation, authentication, and consularisation of legal documents in compliance with local legal requirements.

Maintain organised and accurate legal files, registrations, and databases, ensuring all records are current and easily retrievable.

Oversee and maintain the contract lifecycle management (CLM) system, managing contract intake, triage, workflow, execution, and archiving processes.

Provide administrative and paralegal assistance to international attorneys and support special legal projects or ad hoc assignments as needed.

Provide comprehensive legal support across Asia Pacific offices, including contract review, document drafting, and preparation of official correspondence using approved templates under the supervision of senior legal counsel.

Review and analyse contracts to identify legal and business risks, ensuring alignment with internal policies and compliance requirements.

Support the initial review and coordination of Area Office contracts, highlighting key terms and potential issues for escalation.

At least 2–3 years’ experience reviewing or negotiating contracts; alternatively met through advanced legal training or superior writing skills acquired via graduate studies or technical writing roles.

Demonstrated project management capabilities including effective prioritisation of tasks, cross-functional collaboration, open communication regarding progress, and timely completion of deliverables.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for clear business communications with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in legal operations or knowledge management using contract lifecycle or customer relationship management systems for workflow optimisation.

Paralegal certificate or Bachelor’s degree preferred; however, five years of relevant experience combined with outstanding writing abilities may substitute for formal education requirements.

Problem-solving aptitude allowing you to identify challenges quickly and propose practical solutions that align with organisational objectives.

Proven relationship-building skills that foster positive connections with colleagues across departments as well as external partners.

Solid understanding of key business concepts such as intellectual property (especially copyright and trademark), indemnification clauses, limitation of liability provisions, and termination procedures.
