Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and dependable Senior AVP of Legal to join their team in Makati focusing in Wealth Management.
This role is pivotal in the fulfilment of client’s objectives through the development and documentation of structure/estate planning services, including Personal Management Trust engagements and other fiduciary services. What you'll do:
As the Senior AVP of Legal, your role will be central to ensuring the fulfilment of our clients' objectives. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and revising various legal documents and engagements. Your excellent understanding of trust banking laws, family code, estate succession, taxation, and related laws will be crucial in providing legal advice to other units within the Trust Group or the bank. Your ability to manage risks effectively on assigned structure accounts will ensure that potential losses are avoided or mitigated. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of legal strategies with business goals.
- Continuously assess and update account structures to remain compliant with evolving laws and regulations.
- Draft, review, and revise legal documents, engagements, and instruments to align with customer objectives.
- Identify and mitigate potential legal risks while optimizing opportunities within structured accounts.
- Meet with clients to provide legal guidance and ensure structured accounts comply with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee legal compliance and risk management for assigned accounts to minimize exposure.
- Provide legal advice and document review support for various units within the Wealth Management Group and the bank.
- Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments, and best practices to enhance legal support.

- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B. or J.D.) and must have passed the Philippine Bar with 3-5 years PQE.
