Robert Walters Philippines raises record amount for Charity Day 2018

The Robert Walters Group held its annual fundraising event on 12 October 2018. The Philippines office, comprising 29 Robert Walters and 36 Resource Solutions staff, raised over PHP100,000 for Pangarap Foundation Inc. 

Overcoming personal fears for good

This year’s theme for the Manila office was “Fear Factor”. Members of staff were challenged to face their fears to support Pangarap Foundation. Fund-raising activities included an exotic delicacies challenge, where members of staff bravely ate dishes such as fried insects, barbecue chicken head, balut and more. There was also a “Fear the Box” activity, where staff members challenged others to touch and guess random scary items that put into a covered box. 

In addition to these activities, we also had lunch and bake sale. Dishes for the sale included sushi, siomai, bruschetta, pancit, pesto pasta, ice cream, cookies, and brownies all prepared and donated by staff from the Philippines office. An auction sale was also held in the afternoon and saw the highest donation of the day of PHP28,850.

Pangarap Foundation Inc. 

The foundation is a non-stock and non-profit social welfare institution that is dedicated to helping street children particularly boys ages 12-17 years old break away from poverty cycle. 

The foundation is licensed and accredited as a child caring agency by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
