To sustain the aggressive digitalisation strategies companies in the Philippines are pursuing, Monty encouraged hiring managers to take the time to understand the talent market and what is available. There is a shortage of highly skilled talent, particularly professionals with tech-related skills. In the past year alone, he mentioned that saw a 40% increase in requirements related to technology.
With that in mind, hiring managers need to understand that they need to provide competitive packages to attract and retain top talent. This does not only cover remuneration, but other benefits such as training and development as well.
