Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director for Media Sales. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team in new business development, client engagement for renewals, and developing sales strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing revenue and profit & loss at the country level, as part of a global strategy towards building a unified platform in the markets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in media sales or marketing roles within the media or TV broadcasting industry.

What you'll do:

As an Associate Director for Media Sales, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's business. You will be responsible for leading a team in new business development, nurturing existing client relationships, and developing innovative sales strategies. Your role will involve identifying growth opportunities, delivering on sales targets, and building strong internal relationships. You will also be tasked with preparing detailed sales reports to inform strategic decision-making. A key aspect of your role will be to develop trust-based relationships with clients and key stakeholders within the industry.

  • Identify growth opportunities with existing and new client groups
  • Deliver agreed quarterly / annual sales targets through new business development
  • Build internal relationships across business units for support with identifying opportunities and converting the sale
  • Prepare and analyze weekly / monthly / quarterly / annual sales reports to develop realistic and achievable sales pipeline
  • Develop strong and trust-based relationships with clients and key stakeholders in the industry
  • Work with teams to ensure they are deployed to maximum effect on accounts to drive retention and potential upselling opportunities

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Associate Director - Media Sales position brings a wealth of experience from the media industry. With a minimum of 10 years' experience in media sales or marketing roles within the media or TV broadcasting industry, you have developed a strong network within the industry. Your proven ability to develop strategic sales plans and execute them successfully at a country level sets you apart. You are experienced in the consultative selling process, from pre-call discovery to closing deals. Your proficiency in Google Suite Applications will be beneficial in this role.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Business, Marketing, or Communications
  • Minimum 10 years of media experience, preferably in sales or marketing roles from the media or TV broadcasting industry
  • Strong network within the media, broadcasting and publishing industry
  • Proven experience in developing strategic sales plans, and executing them successfully at country level
  • Experience in consultative selling process, including pre-call discovery and setting appointments, drafting proposals, presenting solutions & closing deals
  • Proficiency in Google Suite Applications – GMail, Google Doc, Google Slides
