About the Head of Data Operations Role:
The Head of Data Operations is responsible for ensuring consistent adherence of enterprise data solutions to operational SLAs such as timeliness, data quality, and ticket resolution for data requests, dashboard requests, and application issues related to the data vault, MDM, DQ, EDC, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely and quality delivery of data requests - extracts, dashboards, and other reporting needs, ensure timely resolution of incident requests for the EDS platforms and that policies are adhered to specifically on data privacy and information security
• Have direct responsibility over day-to-day operational functions of EDS, the Head of Data
• Ensure the operational service level agreements (SLA) on data availability, quality, and performance are met
• Manage report/dashboard developers, and the level three apps support team and ensure best practices in implementing production fixes and improvements
• Interface with end-user groups to ensure that data platforms are performing according to expectations
• Review user requests for data and ensure compliance to company policies
• Track data requests by various business groups and ensure enrolment in the enterprise data marts
• Enable end users through self-service and automation of frequently requested data
• Drive continuous improvements by consistently monitoring performance and end-user feedback and adjusting capacity plans
• Initiate and implement data-related continuous innovations given customer experiences

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related fields
• Five or more years of experience
• Dashboard development (Tableau, PowerBI or similar technologies)
• SQL development (Oracle, MS SQL, or similar technologies)
• ETL development tools (Informatica, Talend, or similar technologies)
• Hadoop platforms (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MAPR, or similar technologies)
• Shell scripting
• Big data technologies (Kafka, Flink, or similar technologies)
• Data modelling and design (preferred but not mandatory)
• Python/R (preferred but not mandatory)
• ITIL (or similar operations practices)
