What you'll do:

• Collaborate with stakeholders and clients to identify key opportunities for leveraging data in order to develop innovative business solutions tailored to operational needs.
• Extract, mine, and analyse large datasets from company databases with the goal of optimising product development processes, enhancing marketing strategies, and informing critical business decisions.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources as well as data gathering techniques by applying rigorous statistical analysis methods.
• Design and implement custom data models and algorithms that can be applied across various datasets to solve complex business challenges.
• Utilise predictive modelling techniques to improve customer experiences, increase revenue generation, optimise ad targeting, and achieve other strategic business outcomes.
• Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the organisation to ensure successful implementation of models while monitoring their performance over time.
• Develop robust processes and tools for ongoing monitoring and analysis of model performance as well as overall data accuracy.
• Communicate findings clearly through excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring technical insights are accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends in data science by actively seeking out learning opportunities related to new technologies, frameworks, or methodologies relevant to the field.

What you bring:

• A graduate or post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative discipline demonstrates your strong academic foundation in relevant fields.
• Proficiency in advanced statistical techniques such as regression analysis, constrained optimisation, sentiment analysis or graph community detection enables you to tackle complex analytical problems with confidence.
• Hands-on experience using Python—including libraries like Pydantic AI, LangChain, LangGraph, Scikit-learn (Scikit), SciPy, NumPy—and SQL equips you with essential tools for manipulating large datasets and extracting valuable insights.
• A proven track record in building generative AI agent workflows showcases your ability to innovate within cutting-edge areas of artificial intelligence.
• Familiarity with distributed computing tools such as Databricks, Hadoop, Kafka, Attunity, Dask or Spark is highly desirable for handling big data environments efficiently.
• Experience developing or deploying solutions within cloud-based platforms (such as AWS) along with containerisation techniques (Docker or AWS Elastic) would be advantageous for scaling projects seamlessly across different infrastructures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills ensure that your technical findings are easily understood by both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders alike.
