What you'll do:

• Resolve issues affecting business application service operations promptly to ensure minimal disruption for end-users and stakeholders.
• Facilitate the smooth transition of new application features from development into production environments by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimising business application service operations for greater efficiency and reliability.
• Assist in automating manual activities within the application operations workflow to enhance consistency and streamline service delivery processes.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders during incident and problem management situations, providing clear updates and guidance as needed.
• Manage escalations related to operational topics by collaborating closely with relevant teams to achieve timely resolutions.
• Support the adoption of agile methodologies within the team by participating in release management activities and contributing engineering insights.
• Utilise tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Confluence to track incidents, document solutions, and facilitate transparent communication across teams.
• Balance multiple projects or operational tasks simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and upholding high standards of service quality.

What you bring:

• Demonstrated proficiency in working with relational databases, ideally Microsoft SQL Server, enabling you to manage data-driven applications effectively.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services—preferably AWS—which allows you to support scalable and resilient application environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab or Jenkins, empowering you to streamline software delivery processes.
• Knowledge of programming languages like Java or Python is considered an advantage for enhancing automation capabilities within the team.
• Proven experience handling incident and problem management scenarios using best practices for rapid resolution.
• Comfortable using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence or similar platforms for tracking issues, documenting solutions, and facilitating collaboration.
• A solid understanding or practical experience with at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework (e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM), supporting effective teamwork.
• Experience in agile delivery environments with exposure to release management processes and engineering best practices.
• Ability to balance multiple projects or operational tasks concurrently while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
