What you'll do:

As a Senior Azure Security Engineer based in Pasig, you will be instrumental in delivering secure cloud infrastructure solutions that underpin the organisation’s digital transformation journey. Your day-to-day activities will involve working hand-in-hand with architecture squads to translate conceptual designs into robust technical implementations across Azure environments. You will be responsible for deploying advanced networking configurations—such as firewalls, routing protocols, private endpoints—and ensuring seamless integration between on-premises systems and cloud platforms. By leveraging your expertise in identity management tools like Azure AD and privileged access solutions such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust, you will help safeguard sensitive assets against evolving threats. Automation will be central to your approach; you’ll use PowerShell scripting and Infrastructure as Code techniques to streamline deployments while maintaining rigorous compliance with industry frameworks. Your ability to document processes clearly will ensure operational continuity while mentoring less experienced colleagues fosters a culture of shared learning. • Implement and secure Azure infrastructure components such as network security groups, routing, peering, firewalls, private endpoints, web application firewalls, privileged identity management, role-based access controls, and conditional access policies.
• Provide expert-level support for hybrid cloud environments by managing security and compliance requirements across both on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Collaborate closely with architecture squads to interpret high-level designs into actionable technical implementations that align with enterprise security standards.
• Deliver technical recommendations for optimising Azure Security Center and Defender for Cloud while enhancing monitoring capabilities through Azure Sentinel and log ingestion.
• Design and maintain secure enterprise networking solutions using technologies such as Cisco ASA, FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA), and zero-trust architectures.
• Lead efforts in identity and access management by configuring Azure Active Directory (AAD), B2B/B2C integrations, SAML/OAuth protocols, multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged access management tools like CyberArk or BeyondTrust.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and security tasks using PowerShell scripting and Infrastructure as Code methodologies such as Terraform or Octopus Deploy.
• Ensure all implemented solutions comply with recognised frameworks including ISO 27001, Essential 8, NIST, SOCI by working closely with Security Operations Centre teams.
• Create comprehensive documentation including knowledge base articles, procedural guides, and as-built records to support ongoing operations and future enhancements.
• Mentor Security Operations teams by sharing expertise in best practices for incident response, monitoring improvements, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

A thorough understanding of advanced networking concepts—including firewall administration (Cisco ASA/FortiGate), VPN setup for secure remote access (Zscaler ZIA/ZPA), network segmentation—is essential. You should also possess deep familiarity with modern identity management systems such as Azure AD (including B2B/B2C integrations) along with hands-on expertise in privileged access management tools like CyberArk or BeyondTrust. Automation is key: your proficiency in PowerShell scripting coupled with Infrastructure as Code methodologies ensures efficient deployment processes while maintaining strict adherence to industry-recognised frameworks such as ISO 27001/NIST/SOCI/Essential 8. Strong documentation skills are vital for capturing procedures clearly so others can follow best practices easily; equally important is your ability to communicate effectively within cross-functional teams—sharing insights generously while fostering an inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels supported.

• Extensive hands-on experience implementing and securing Microsoft Azure infrastructure components including NSGs, routing protocols, peering arrangements, private endpoints, firewalls (WAFs), Sentinel monitoring tools.
• Proven track record managing complex hybrid cloud environments with strong understanding of VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation technologies.
• Deep knowledge of enterprise networking principles encompassing Cisco ASA devices, FortiGate firewalls, VPN configuration for hybrid connectivity solutions (including Zscaler ZIA/ZPA), network segmentation strategies.
• Expertise in identity management systems such as Azure Active Directory (AAD), B2B/B2C federation models, SAML/OAuth authentication flows, multi-factor authentication (MFA), RBAC policies; proficiency with privileged access management tools like CyberArk or BeyondTrust is highly desirable.
• Advanced automation skills using PowerShell scripting for infrastructure deployment tasks; familiarity with Infrastructure as Code approaches utilising Terraform or Octopus Deploy enhances your effectiveness.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with major security frameworks including ISO 27001/Essential 8/NIST/SOCI through close collaboration with SOC teams on monitoring enhancements.
• Strong documentation abilities enabling creation of detailed knowledge base articles/procedural guides/as-built documentation supporting operational excellence.
• Minimum five years’ experience working within large-scale enterprise IT environments (5000+ employees) focused on cyber security/infrastructure/network engineering roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Cyber Security preferred; relevant certifications such as AZ-104/AZ-500/AZ-350/AZ-140/AZ-305/SC-200/SC-300/CCNA/CCNP/CompTIA Security+/CISSP are highly regarded.
