Network Engineer

About the Network Engineer Role:
The Network Engineer role is going to work with the team of engineers to support the network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Will maintain, monitor, and provide support for the global network of the company, including WAN and LAN at the data centres, remote offices worldwide, and external clients
• Manage chronic problems to closure
• Troubleshoot within the network scope and outside into other technology areas with the assistance of other IT groups
• Conduct general network maintenance, and software upgrades/patching of network devices like firewalls, routers, switches, and SDWAN
• Participate in the on-call support rotation with the flexibility of working shifts to meet the needs of the business across multiple time zones

To succeed in this Network Engineer role, you must be able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and prioritise and oversee multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline together with relevant working experience
• At least five years' experience related to networking with strong knowledge and extensive hands-on experience in the network areas and technologies
• Experience in WAN acceleration/optimisation (Riverbed Steelheads appliances), Dynamic routing interaction with ISPs using BGP
• Clear understanding of network monitoring using ICMP and SNMP
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to build relationships and work well across functions
