What you'll do:
As an Cloud Engineer, you will be at the forefront of cloud technology, working directly with various IaaS and PaaS solutions. Your primary focus will be on building cloud-native solutions, and innovating within the ever-evolving landscape of the Public Cloud. You will be responsible for developing application features, building deployment pipelines, drafting technical solutions, investigating new technologies, performing proofs-of-concept, providing technical consultation, managing applications and platforms, implementing security controls, joining on-call rotations, and participating in risk assessments.
- Build deployment pipelines for applications and platforms
- Draft effective technical solutions that fit business needs and requirements
- Investigate and assess technologies for implementation
- Perform Proof-of-Concepts on technology proposals
- Provide technical consultation on applications and platforms to other Engineering teams
- Manage, maintain, update, and upgrade applications and platforms
- Participate in risk assessments and mitigating activities as needed
What you bring:
The ideal Cloud Engineer will bring a strong understanding of basic Public Cloud concepts along with a deep knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible or Terraform is essential, as is experience with containerization and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining applications or platforms, and familiarity with Cloud Services such as Azure or GCP. An ability to think independently, work well within a team environment, handle pressure, and possess outstanding analytical skills are also key to this role.
- Strong understanding of basic Public Cloud concepts
- Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform)
- Experience in containerization and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in developing and maintaining applications or platforms
- Experience with some Cloud Services (Azure, GCP AWS)
- Experience in core networking:
- BGP
- SD-WAN
- Network Layers (Layer 2/Layer 3/Layer 4)
- Experience with Cloudflare is a bonus
