Our client is seeking a Junior IT Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers flexible working hours, including potential shifts of 7:30am-4:30pm, 3:00pm-12:00am, or 11:00pm-8:00am.

What you'll do:
As a Junior IT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the technological infrastructure of the company. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include installing and maintaining IT hardware, ensuring the security of IT systems, managing system performance, providing technical assistance to users, developing IT security policies, maintaining technical support logs, monitoring IT equipment inventory, and collaborating with teams on system enhancements. Your keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be key in ensuring the smooth operation of our client's IT systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware including computers, servers, printers, and other peripherals.
- Ensure the IT systems are secured by applying patches, updates, and antivirus software.
- Manage and monitor system performance to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Provide technical assistance to users for IT-related issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement enforce IT security policies.
- Maintain logs for technical support incidents including resolutions and follow-up actions.
- Monitor the inventory of all IT equipment, software, and software licenses.
- Collaborate with the teams to implement system enhancements and customizations.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Junior IT Engineer position brings a strong academic background in Computer Engineering or a related field. You are proficient in Windows operating systems and have experience diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Your excellent communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate with teams globally. Your flexibility allows you to adapt to shifting schedules as needed. Experience in IT Support would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work on a shifting schedule.
- Experience in IT Support is an advantage.
