What you'll do:

As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role within our client's engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver robust code that aligns with business constraints while respecting controls. You will utilise your problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills daily. Additionally, you will take on a mentoring role, guiding other developers in their learning and development journey. You will take ownership of systems and services assigned in production, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards. Your role will also require availability for out of hours support as needed.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the DevOps Engineer position brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. Your proficiency in Java, Spring, SpringBoot is essential, as is your experience with RESTful API development. You have a solid understanding of Oracle Databases, (PL-)SQL, Flyway/Liquibase, Hibernate, JPA and are familiar with Azure DevOps Yaml Pipelines or comparable CI/CD tooling. Your experience with test automation across the testing pyramid will be invaluable in this role. You understand IT Security Foundations and have experience with Public Cloud platforms. Your knowledge of Microservice and Cloud Native architecture principles will be put to good use, as will your experience with Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift. Lastly, your knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux Foundations and skills in (Plant-) UML, architecture documentation & communication will be crucial.
