Data Center Security Manager

A digital company is looking for a Data Center Security Manager.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Security Manager to oversee and manage the security of their physical data center premises. This role requires an individual who can enforce authorised access policy, ensure the protection of critical infrastructure, and maintain operational continuity. The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of security protocols, manage security personnel, surveillance systems, risk management strategies, and compliance requirements.

What you'll do:

As a Data Center Security Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical and logical security of the data center. Your role will involve managing a team of security personnel while also overseeing various security systems. You will conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and lead incident response efforts when necessary. Additionally, you will work closely with other teams to integrate physical security measures with information security protocols. Your role will also involve overseeing real-time data center access management and collaborating on disaster recovery plans.

• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls
• Supervise and mentor a team of security personnel
• Manage, configure, and optimize security systems such as CCTV, biometric access systems, motion detectors
• Identify, assess, and address security risks to the data center’s infrastructure and operations
• Lead incident response efforts related to security breaches or anomalies
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 27001)
• Work closely with technology and operations teams to integrate physical security with information security
• Oversee the management of data center access in real-time
• Collaborate with technology teams to develop and test disaster recovery plans

What you bring:

As a Data Center Security Manager, you bring extensive experience in data center security or a related field. You have a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, security technologies, and network protocols. Your leadership skills are proven through your ability to effectively manage a team. You possess industry certifications such as CISSP, CPP or CISM. Your strong analytical skills enable you to evaluate risks effectively and develop appropriate solutions. Furthermore, you have knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to data center security.

• 5+ years of experience in data center security or a related field
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, security technologies, and network protocols
• Proven ability to lead and manage a security team
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CPP or CISM preferred
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate risks and develop effective solutions
• Knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements related to data center security
