Site Reliability Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Site Reliability Engineer to join their Container Platforms team.

This role is integral to delivering on the Technology strategy for the organisation, with a focus on Kubernetes and Openshift Container Platforms. As a key member of this innovative team, you will contribute to building and supporting container hosting platforms that drive the business forward. With team members located in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Bangalore, you'll have the opportunity to work in a truly global environment.

What you'll do:

As a Site Reliability Engineer, your role will be pivotal in shaping the future of our client's technology strategy. You will be at the forefront of designing, developing, delivering, and supporting container hosting platforms using cutting-edge technologies such as OCP, EKS, AKS, and podman. Your expertise will be crucial in assisting internal customers with re-architecting and migrating their applications for a container and micro-services platform. You will also play a vital role in supporting services before they go live through system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.

• Contribute to the design, development, delivery and support of container hosting platforms using OCP, EKS, AKS and podman.
• Assist internal customers with re-architecting and migrating their applications for a container and micro-services platform.
• Support services before they go live through system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Own and deliver features and stories in the Container Platforms sprints, peer programming and peer-reviewing with other team members.
• Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
• Be a member of the support and on-call rota for the Container Platforms team.

What you bring:

As an ideal candidate for the Site Reliability Engineer position, you bring a wealth of experience in Information Technology. Your hands-on experience in production support using one or more containers orchestration platform such as Kubernetes, Openshift or Docker sets you apart. Any certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration, Amazon Web Services and Azure certifications would be advantageous. Your ITIL v3 Foundation or similar certifications or training demonstrate your commitment to professional development.

• Proven experience in Information Technology.
• Hands-on experience in production support using one or more containers orchestration platform such as Kubernetes, Openshift or Docker.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) qualification would be advantageous.
• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration would be advantageous.
• Amazon Web Services and Azure certifications would be advantageous.
• Licences and Certifications/Accreditations – ITIL v3 Foundation or similar certifications or training would be advantageous.
