What you'll do:
As an Azure Cloud Engineer based in Ortigas, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering secure cloud infrastructure solutions tailored to customer needs. Your day-to-day activities will involve configuring virtual machines, managing advanced networking features within Azure, supporting migrations from on-premises systems to cloud platforms, and optimising existing environments for performance. You will be expected to apply rigorous security standards using established monitoring tools while leveraging automation through scripting languages like PowerShell or template-based deployments. Operational support for private clouds such as VMware or Nutanix will also form part of your responsibilities. Working closely with both local colleagues in Manila and remote teams in the UK ensures that you are always connected to a wider network of expertise. - Build and configure Microsoft Azure infrastructure components such as virtual machines, networking solutions, and storage systems to meet customer requirements.
- Implement and manage complex Azure networking setups including VNets, network security groups (NSGs), routing protocols, peering configurations, VPN gateways, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Support seamless cloud migrations and hybrid integrations between on-premises environments and Azure platforms to ensure business continuity for clients.
- Maintain and optimise existing customer cloud environments by monitoring performance metrics and implementing cost efficiency strategies.
- Apply robust security measures, monitoring tools, and governance baselines across all deployments to uphold industry standards and client expectations.
- Utilise automation and scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bicep scripts, or ARM templates to deliver consistent results across multiple projects.
- Provide operational support for private cloud platforms including VMware and Nutanix by assisting with ongoing monitoring, maintenance tasks, and optimisation initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers located both in Manila and the UK to ensure smooth delivery of infrastructure solutions.
- Document all technical work clearly while actively contributing ideas for process improvements and enhancements to tooling within the team.

A solid grasp of governance models such as RBAC combined with cost management acumen is essential for maintaining efficient operations. - Demonstrated experience spanning 4–6 years in cloud or infrastructure roles within managed service providers or similar IT services environments where collaboration is key.
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Azure IaaS including compute resources, networking architectures, and storage management techniques.
- Proven ability to configure complex Azure networking elements such as VNets, NSGs, VPNs, routing protocols, peering arrangements, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Hands-on experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell or deployment templates like ARM or Bicep to streamline operations across multiple projects.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks including RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) as well as cost management strategies within Azure environments.
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server administration principles along with Active Directory fundamentals relevant to enterprise-scale deployments.
