What you'll do:

As an IT Support Engineer, you will become an integral part of a dedicated team responsible for providing expert assistance to airport and airline clients. Your day-to-day activities will involve troubleshooting intricate technical issues spanning hardware devices, network infrastructure, cloud platforms, and software applications. You will be expected to manage domain environments using Windows-based systems while also handling network configurations such as VLANs and IP routing. Your ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders—both technical and non-technical—will ensure that every customer receives empathetic support tailored to their needs. By documenting solutions meticulously and sharing insights with your peers, you will contribute significantly to the team's collective knowledge base.

  • Provide comprehensive technical support to airport and airline customers by diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues across hardware, networking, and SaaS products.
  • Manage domain equipment using Windows-based machines, including Active Directory administration and maintenance of Windows Server components.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network switches, firewalls, VLANs, IP routing, and end-user equipment diagnostics to ensure seamless operations.
  • Respond promptly to support requests within a follow-the-sun model, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Create thorough documentation for all processes and solutions while actively sharing knowledge with colleagues to foster continual improvement.
  • Utilise scripting or coding experience to automate tasks or resolve recurring technical challenges efficiently.
  • Support multiple products simultaneously by context switching as required while maintaining attention to detail under pressure.
  • Investigate incidents thoroughly, taking personal responsibility for seeing issues through to resolution with empathy and professionalism.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to escalate unresolved problems appropriately and contribute positively to team goals.
  • Leverage cloud infrastructure experience (Azure/AWS) when applicable and apply database knowledge (Microsoft SQL/MongoDB) as needed.

What you bring:

  • At least two years' proven experience in an IT support role where you have demonstrated reliability in resolving technical issues across various platforms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Windows-based machines including hands-on experience managing Active Directory domains and Windows Server components.
  • Practical skills in installing, configuring, and maintaining network switches (including VLANs), firewalls, IP routing protocols, and performing end-user equipment diagnostics.
  • Ability to support multiple products concurrently by effectively context switching without compromising quality or attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills enabling you to interact considerately with both customers and stakeholders during high-pressure situations.
  • Experience creating clear documentation for technical processes while actively contributing knowledge for team improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with scripting or basic coding techniques used for automating repetitive tasks or troubleshooting persistent problems.
  • Exposure to cloud infrastructure services such as Azure or AWS would be advantageous but not essential for success in this role.
  • Knowledge of database technologies like Microsoft SQL or MongoDB would be beneficial; prior experience with USB/Serial connected devices is also desirable.
  • Any background working with airport/airline software or additional language skills would further enhance your suitability but are not mandatory.
