An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer to join our global service center team based in Makati.

What you'll do:

  • Architect, design, and develop comprehensive solutions on the Adobe Experience Manager platform utilising Java, Sling, JCR, and OSGi to deliver robust digital products.
  • Build custom AEM components, templates, and workflows tailored to meet evolving business requirements while ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
  • Oversee AEM deployments and upgrades by coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transitions and minimal downtime.
  • Implement best practices in performance optimisation, caching strategies, and security protocols to guarantee reliable and efficient web applications.
  • Document technical work at a peer level to facilitate knowledge transfer and maintain high standards of code quality across the team.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, QA engineers, DevOps specialists, and other stakeholders to deliver features that enhance user experience and system reliability.
  • Participate actively in project meetings to provide insights on technical feasibility, share progress updates, and contribute to solution planning.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AEM product updates, Adobe Experience Cloud offerings, industry trends, and emerging technologies relevant to web development.
  • Support multi-site/multi-language architecture initiatives by applying localisation strategies that cater to diverse user bases when required.
  • Contribute positively to team morale by fostering an inclusive environment where everyone’s input is valued and knowledge is freely shared.

What you bring:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Java (version 11 or 17) applied in enterprise-level web development projects over at least five years.
  • Proven track record of three or more years specialising in Adobe Experience Manager (version 6.5 or above), including deep familiarity with its architecture, Sling framework, OSGi modules, JCR repository management, Dispatcher configuration, and related APIs.
  • Demonstrated ability to build custom AEM components, templates, workflows as well as manage deployments and upgrades efficiently within large-scale environments.
  • Solid understanding of modern web UI development using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript along with practical exposure to popular UI frameworks such as ReactJS or AngularJS (beneficial).
  • Experience implementing RESTful services both from consumption and implementation perspectives; strong grasp of microservice architecture principles for scalable application design.
  • Competence in database management using SQL databases; familiarity with PostgreSQL considered advantageous for supporting data-driven applications.
  • Hands-on experience with version control systems (Git), build automation tools (Maven), CI/CD pipelines for streamlined software delivery processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban; exposure to tools like Jira or Confluence for effective project tracking; knowledge of XP or SAFe frameworks is beneficial.
  • Practical knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS (especially S3, DynamoDB, ECR, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS) alongside containerisation technologies like Docker; Linux environments or Kubernetes experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional organisational skills enabling you to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under changing priorities; adaptable approach suited for fast-evolving digital landscapes.
