What you'll do:
As a Robotic Process Automation Engineer II, you will play a pivotal role in transforming how the organisation operates by designing intelligent automation solutions that address complex business challenges. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, developing robust automations using industry-leading tools such as Blue Prism, Python, .NET, and integrating advanced AI capabilities like machine learning models or NLP. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues swiftly to maintain seamless operations while documenting every solution thoroughly for future reference. By collaborating with diverse teams across the organisation, you will help identify new opportunities for automation that deliver measurable value. - Develop new automation solutions using Blue Prism, Python, .NET, and other relevant tools based on stakeholder requirements to streamline business operations.
- Enhance existing automations by integrating advanced features and optimising workflows for improved performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues reported by users promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to business activities and maintaining high standards of service.
- Participate actively in ideation sessions, project planning meetings, testing phases, and rollout activities for automation initiatives.
- Create comprehensive documentation for all developed solutions and processes to ensure transparency, knowledge sharing, and ease of maintenance.
- Test new automation features rigorously and provide constructive feedback to improve functionality and user experience.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including business analysts, IT professionals, and end-users to identify automation opportunities and assess feasibility.
- Design and integrate artificial intelligence capabilities into automation workflows such as machine learning models for predictive analytics and decision-making.
- Implement natural language processing (NLP) techniques for interpreting unstructured data sources like emails or scanned documents.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and platforms that complement RPA solutions while monitoring AI-enhanced automations for performance accuracy and compliance.

To excel as a Robotic Process Automation Engineer II in this organisation, your background should reflect proven experience in building sophisticated automations using both RPA tools like Blue Prism or Power Apps as well as programming languages such as Python or .NET. Your familiarity with cloud services (Azure/AWS), test automation frameworks, version control systems (GitHub), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), project management platforms (JIRA), security protocols (Proofpoint), file transfer utilities (WinSCP), API design principles and database interactions will enable you to create robust solutions tailored for business needs. Additionally, your practical exposure to AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch/Scikit-learn/Azure ML), NLP libraries (spaCy/NLTK/Azure Cognitive Services) plus OCR/IDP platforms (ABBYY/UiPath/Amazon Textract) will empower you to enhance automations with intelligent features. Your analytical mindset coupled with a collaborative spirit ensures that you can troubleshoot issues effectively while sharing knowledge generously within the team.
- A four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field demonstrating foundational knowledge in software engineering principles.
- At least three years of hands-on experience with RPA tools such as Blue Prism or Power Apps showcasing your ability to build scalable automations.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python and/or .NET (C#), enabling you to develop custom scripts and integrations efficiently.
- Experience working with Microsoft 365 suite including SharePoint as well as collaboration platforms supporting teamwork across departments.
- Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks which allow you to validate solution quality before deployment.
- Knowledge of version control systems like GitHub along with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins ensuring smooth development cycles.
- Understanding of project management platforms like JIRA plus utilities such as Notepad++, PMP certification awareness, Proofpoint security practices or WinSCP file transfer protocols.
- Ability to design REST APIs and interact with databases facilitating seamless integration between systems.
- Exposure to cloud services including Azure Functions or AWS Lambda/Step Functions providing scalability for automation projects.
- Practical experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn or Azure ML) plus NLP libraries (spaCy, NLTK or Azure Cognitive Services) enhancing workflow intelligence.
- Familiarity with OCR/IDP platforms such as ABBYY FlexiCapture, UiPath Document Understanding or Amazon Textract supporting document processing tasks.
