What you'll do:

As a Senior Platform Architect – Generative Objects Platform Modernisation, you will play a pivotal role in transforming a well-established enterprise application generator into an agile, AI-ready powerhouse. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around architecting reliable foundations through rigorous consolidation efforts—ensuring every enhancement builds upon proven success. You will champion best practices in automated testing and DevOps automation while guiding frontend evolution towards modern frameworks such as Vue.js. By refining meta-models and storage mechanisms, you will empower rapid iteration and flexible adaptation to evolving business requirements. Your expertise will also be crucial in designing robust strategies for integrating advanced AI capabilities within structured meta-programming environments. Throughout this journey, you will collaborate closely with technical leaders, pilot teams, and customer validation groups—translating real-world feedback into actionable improvements that keep the platform ahead of market demands.

• Oversee comprehensive consolidation of the existing platform to guarantee zero-regression reliability before embarking on major modernisation initiatives.
• Design and implement exhaustive unit testing coverage across all components to ensure updates do not disrupt existing customer applications or business logic.
• Systematically resolve all known issues documented in Jira and GitHub repositories, prioritising platform stability and customer confidence.
• Develop detailed onboarding documentation and platform guides to facilitate smooth adoption by independent external teams and new developers.
• Build automated DevOps processes that enable seamless platform upgrades without manual intervention for each project deployment.
• Streamline the user interface by removing obsolete features and optimising the platform for external customer use, focusing on clarity and usability.
• Lead the migration of frontend architecture from Knockout.js to Vue.js, establishing clear migration paths that preserve current application functionality.
• Enhance core meta-modeling systems to support contemporary web development patterns, expanding frontend modelling capabilities beyond current constraints.
• Evolve application model storage from traditional database solutions to Git-based storage, enabling sophisticated version management, branching, merging, and collaborative workflows at the model level.
• Modernise code generation pipelines—including T4 templates—to support domain-specific language (DSL) capabilities and prepare for seamless AI layer integration.

What you bring:

• Extensive experience architecting complex enterprise software platforms with at least 10 years’ hands-on development using .NET and C# technologies.
• Deep understanding of meta-programming principles including code generation systems, template engines (such as T4), reflection techniques, and dynamic system design.
• Proven ability to design self-referential architectures where systems generate other systems reliably while maintaining backward compatibility with established business logic.
• Expertise in building comprehensive test suites for large-scale platforms—covering automated testing strategies, regression prevention methods, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and legacy system stabilisation.
• Advanced skills in modern frontend development with significant exposure to Vue.js or demonstrated capability to rapidly master new frameworks; experience migrating from legacy JavaScript libraries is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evolving data storage architectures from relational databases to distributed version-controlled solutions like Git—including model-level versioning, branching, merging, and collaborative workflows.
• Strong background in developing developer tools or business application platforms with an emphasis on multi-tenancy support and scalable cloud-native infrastructure design.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI tools into software architectures—leveraging LLMs for code generation acceleration while ensuring predictable outcomes within structured environments.
• Ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic decision-making—prioritising platform reliability, customer deployment readiness, and measurable business impact over theoretical perfection.
• Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative mindset—capable of producing clear documentation for external teams and adapting quickly based on customer feedback.
