Business Analyst

Save job

A leading organisation in the Philippines is seeking a Business Analyst to join their product delivery team, offering you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by connecting business needs with technology solutions. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys working closely with diverse teams across product, engineering, and quality assurance.

As a Business Analyst within this forward-thinking organisation based in Manila, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technology solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams—including product owners, developers, QA specialists, and stakeholders—to gather requirements, document processes, and support the delivery of impactful product features. You will be instrumental in analysing both current operations and future possibilities to drive continuous improvement. By maintaining thorough documentation using industry-standard tools like Jira and Confluence, you will ensure transparency across projects. Your involvement in backlog refinement sessions will help prepare user stories for sprint planning while your support during sprints guarantees that requirements are clearly understood by all team members. Success in this role hinges on your ability to foster strong connections across departments, facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, and champion best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Support the Product Owner in understanding business needs and translating them into clear user stories and acceptance criteria that guide development.
  • Assist in gathering and documenting business requirements through stakeholder meetings, workshops, and detailed analysis sessions.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA during sprints to clarify requirements, address questions, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as process maps, user flows, and requirement documents that underpin successful product delivery.
  • Support the analysis of current ('As-Is') and future ('To-Be') business processes to identify improvement opportunities that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Help translate business requirements into functional specifications for development teams, ensuring clarity and precision in technical handovers.
  • Participate in backlog refinement sessions and assist in preparing user stories for sprint planning, contributing to effective Agile workflows.
  • Work with QA and Product teams to validate that delivered functionality meets requirements, maintaining high standards of quality assurance.
  • Assist in identifying potential risks, dependencies, and gaps in requirements to proactively mitigate issues before they impact project outcomes.
  • Maintain documentation and project artefacts in tools such as Jira and Confluence, ensuring information is accessible and up-to-date for all stakeholders.

What you bring:

Your proven experience as a Business Analyst equips you with the skills necessary to thrive within this collaborative environment. You bring expertise in Agile methodologies—enabling you to work seamlessly alongside product owners, developers, QA specialists, and other stakeholders. Your proficiency in requirements gathering ensures that business needs are accurately translated into actionable user stories. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, and Microsoft Office 365 allows you to create clear documentation that supports both technical teams and business leaders. Your exposure to process mapping empowers you to identify areas for improvement while your ability to communicate effectively across departments fosters trust among colleagues. If you have supported digital product delivery or system implementations before—or possess knowledge of API integrations or data mapping—you will find additional opportunities for growth here. Certifications such as BCS or Lean Six Sigma further demonstrate your commitment to excellence but are not essential; what matters most is your willingness to share knowledge generously with others while nurturing positive relationships throughout the organisation.

  • 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role demonstrating dependable performance within technology-driven environments.
  • Experience working within Agile product or technology teams where collaboration is key to delivering successful outcomes.
  • Exposure to requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation that supports organisational goals.
  • Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and quality assurance professionals.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence for managing project artefacts and facilitating transparent communication across teams.
  • Familiarity with Lucidchart or similar process mapping tools that enable clear visualisation of workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for creating reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Ability to support digital product delivery or system implementations through effective analysis and communication (nice to have).
  • Exposure to API integrations, data mapping, or system workflows which enhances your technical understanding (nice to have).
  • Business analysis or process improvement certifications such as BCS or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous but not mandatory (nice to have).
