What you'll do:

• Maintain hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, configuring, and supporting key infrastructure elements including network devices, servers, firewalls, access points, and virtualisation platforms.
• Establish operational standards by developing SLAs, KPIs, and escalation procedures that guarantee reliable service delivery across all technology domains.
• Lead the implementation of robust cybersecurity controls and risk management frameworks to proactively mitigate threats and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline demonstrating foundational knowledge essential for managing complex IT environments.
• At least 7 years’ experience working across IT infrastructure management, network operations or risk management roles within dynamic sectors such as fintech or banking.
• Minimum 5 years’ proven track record in an IT leadership or managerial capacity overseeing teams responsible for infrastructure and network operations.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Windows or Linux server administration coupled with proficiency in Microsoft technologies like Active Directory, DNS/DHCP services and Microsoft 365 suite.
• Demonstrated expertise managing virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V alongside basic familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure.
• Comprehensive understanding of network infrastructure including switches/routers/firewalls/access points plus advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP/RIP) and switching technologies (VLAN/STP/RSTP/QoS/HSRP/VRRP).
• Proven ability configuring firewalls (NAT/ACLs/VPNs/load balancing) as well as troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark; deep awareness of network security best practices is essential.
• Experience developing IT policies/procedures aligned with regulatory requirements; readiness for internal/external audits; disaster recovery/business continuity planning expertise highly valued.
• Exceptional communication skills enabling effective stakeholder engagement at all levels; ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated commitment to mentoring teams—fostering collaboration while balancing strategic vision with hands-on operational involvement.
