Bank Reconciliation Officer

Our client is seeking a Reconciliation Officer who thrives on responsibility, enjoys problem-solving and has a keen eye for detail. What you'll do:

As a Reconciliation Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy within the organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include reconciling bank accounts monthly, reviewing bank/card statements regularly and matching transactions with relevant journals in our ERP system. You will also be tasked with preparing and sending payments to suppliers based on approved invoices. Additionally, you will manage central mailboxes, ensuring all queries are promptly addressed and directed to the appropriate party. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Reconcile bank accounts on a monthly basis
  • Review bank/card statements regularly in partnership with our AR Officer
  • Match transactions with the relevant journals in our ERP system
  • Post regular journals such as bank fees
  • Report, investigate and follow up on open items
  • Prepare and send for approval the payment to suppliers based on invoices approved in our ERP system
  • Review the mailbox and assign to the right owner based on the type of request, replying in cases where the query is related to banking/cards information (payment status, day of payment, etc)

You possess an excellent understanding of financial transactions and payment processes, coupled with proficiency in using ERP systems. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, allowing you to identify discrepancies quickly and accurately. Furthermore, your ability to juggle multiple tasks without compromising accuracy makes you stand out. Lastly, your strong interpersonal skills enable you to communicate effectively across various levels of the organisation, ensuring all queries are addressed promptly and accurately.

  • Proven experience as a Reconciliation Analyst or similar role within finance
  • Strong understanding of financial transactions and payment processes
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems for transaction matching and journal posting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organisation
