What you'll do:

As an Accounting and Finance Officer based in Mandaluyong City’s vibrant business district, you will play an essential role within the finance department. Your daily responsibilities will span the full spectrum of accounting—from maintaining ledgers to preparing complex financial statements under PFRS/IFRS standards. You will collaborate closely with both local colleagues and international teams to ensure seamless alignment of financial reporting practices across borders. Your expertise in SAP will be crucial for managing transactions efficiently while also supporting audits and system enhancements. In addition to handling accounts payable/receivable tasks such as processing payments or reconciling vendor statements, you will ensure all compliance obligations are met by preparing statutory reports for various government agencies. Success in this role means being detail-oriented yet adaptable; you’ll need strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels—locally and globally—while thriving in a hybrid work environment that values teamwork and continuous learning.

  • Perform comprehensive full-cycle accounting processes including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Ensure timely closing of books on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis while preparing detailed financial statements and reports in accordance with PFRS and IFRS standards.
  • Monitor accruals, prepayments, depreciation schedules, and other key financial metrics to support accurate reporting.
  • Provide responsive financial services and support to multiple international clients or entities by liaising with global teams to align financial reporting practices.
  • Handle queries from stakeholders professionally and efficiently while ensuring accurate multi-currency transactions and consolidations.
  • Manage day-to-day finance transactions using SAP by validating and posting entries as well as ensuring correct cost center and general ledger coding.
  • Generate insightful reports from SAP systems, support audit activities, assist with system improvements or rollouts, and train team members on SAP finance processes as needed.
  • Process accounts payable functions such as vendor payments, supplier settlements, employee reimbursements, invoice generation for clients, monitoring outstanding receivables, following up on collections, reconciling vendor statements, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure strict compliance with local regulations (BIR, SEC, PEZA, DOLE) as well as company policies by preparing government-mandated reports and tax returns including VAT, Withholding Tax, Expanded Tax, BIR Form 2307/2316.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements through meticulous documentation management and prompt response to audit queries.

  • Hands-on proficiency using SAP for day-to-day finance transactions including validation/posting of entries as well as generating reports; experience supporting audits or system rollouts is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in accounts payable/receivable functions such as processing vendor payments/reimbursements/invoices; monitoring receivables; following up on collections; reconciling vendor statements; resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Comprehensive understanding of local regulatory compliance (BIR/SEC/PEZA/DOLE) including preparation/submission of government-mandated reports/tax returns (VAT/Withholding Tax/Expanded Tax/BIR Forms 2307 & 2316).
  • Excellent communication skills enabling you to handle queries from stakeholders professionally while fostering positive relationships across diverse teams.
