Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant in Quezon City, you'll ensure financial accuracy across functions, manage invoicing, collections, payments, and prepare reports using Hyperion and SAP. You'll ensure tax compliance, coordinate audits, and provide sales performance analyses. Your attention to detail will be vital for inventory reconciliation and cash flow projections. You'll also drive process improvements by updating SOPs and offering technical guidance on complex accounting matters.

Job Description:

  • Coordinate with accounting service providers to issue invoices, credit notes, and debit notes while monitoring accounts receivable collections and hospital instalment payments for equipment sales.
  • Liaise with logistics partners to resolve billing issues and perform month-end margin adjustments, including issuing credit notes for sample withdrawals.
  • Review vendor payments and staff claims by ensuring all supporting documents are in order and compliance with internal policies before approval in banking systems.
  • Submit monthly financial reports using Hyperion, reconcile balance sheet items in Cadency-Trintech system, prepare statutory tax packages for headquarters, and provide ad-hoc reports as requested by regional controllers.
  • Prepare monthly inventory reconciliations, calculate quarterly excess and obsolete provisions, submit related reports to APAC teams, and manage cash flow forecasts for corporate treasury.
  • Coordinate with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, bankers, corporate secretarial agents, local tax officers, and government authorities on various financial matters.
  • Support audit processes by liaising with internal and external auditors on year-end activities, preparing financial statements and reconciliations between statutory accounts and GAAP requirements.
  • Assist local management in tracking sales performance by preparing business intelligence data uploads and computing monthly inventory holdings by business unit.
  • Review quarterly and annual tax computations prepared by service providers while ensuring timely filing of withholding tax (WHT) and value-added tax (VAT) returns according to local regulations.
  • Work closely with other departments to streamline processes, provide technical opinions on accounting matters, maintain internal controls, monitor fixed assets, update standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assist in resolving operational issues.

Job requirements:

  • A diploma or higher qualification in Accounting or a related field is required for this position.
  • At least five years of hands-on experience managing full sets of financial reports along with preparing accurate financial projections is essential.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Hyperion is highly desirable; experience with SAP software is considered a strong advantage for this role.
  • Advanced Excel skills—including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and basic formulas—are necessary for effective data analysis and reporting.
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team is vital for success in this environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines while handling multiple tasks efficiently is important for this fast-paced setting.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Philippine tax laws—including withholding tax (WHT), VAT, and Corporate Tax—is mandatory for this role.
  • Experience managing accounting service providers within an international context will be highly regarded by the hiring team.
