A leading healthcare organisation in Makati is seeking a Finance Business Partner to represent their Philippines team. This role offers you the opportunity to work closely with multiple departments, including Sales, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and HR, to drive business performance and support strategic planning. You will play a pivotal part in shaping the financial direction of the business through comprehensive reviews, rolling forecasts, expense analysis, and business case evaluations.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Business Partner based in Makati, you will be at the heart of the Philippines Commercial team’s financial operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve delivering insightful monthly P&L reports that break down sales performance by product category while analyzing variances against budgets and forecasts.

  • Deliver monthly Philippines Commercial Management P&L reports with detailed sales breakdowns by product category and conduct thorough variance analysis against budget and forecast for all P&L items including sales, cost of goods sold, gross profit, operating expenses.
  • Organize 5-year planning sessions and regular forecasting activities in partnership with related functions such as Sales, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain Management, and Human Resources to ensure timely delivery of planning packages for top management review.
  • Act as a finance liaison between commercial teams, accounting & tax departments, regulatory affairs, and other functional groups to facilitate process improvements and provide ad-hoc business support as needed.
  • Assist in evaluating business cases by conducting cost-benefit analyses with particular focus on advertising and promotional spending to optimize resource allocation.
  • Support efforts to streamline internal processes within the organization and contribute actively towards enhancing corporate compliance standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive reviews for top management based on business performance data from various sources; present findings in clear formats using advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Provide guidance on financial matters during cross-functional meetings and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure accurate forecasting and planning outcomes.
  • Contribute to ongoing training initiatives by sharing financial insights with team members and supporting their development in analytical skills.
  • Respond promptly to ad-hoc requests from commercial management or other departments requiring financial expertise or business evaluation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends relevant to pharmaceutical finance operations in order to inform recommendations during business reviews.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner role brings a solid foundation and practical experience gained from working within sales & marketing or business controlling environments with demonstrated dependability through successful process improvement projects and rigorous cost-benefit analyses that inform resource allocation decisions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Pharmaceutical-related discipline is required for this position.
  • At least five years’ experience working in sales & marketing or business controlling roles within a commercial environment; pharmaceutical industry background is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Quick learning ability combined with a collaborative mindset makes you an ideal team player who thrives in communal settings.
  • Strong communication skills enable you to connect effectively across departments while presenting complex financial information clearly.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentation preparation is essential; experience with SAP/BPC systems is considered advantageous.
  • Proven track record of supporting process improvement initiatives within organisations through dependable contributions.
  • Ability to conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses focused on advertising & promotional expenditures demonstrates your analytical capabilities.
