A leading organisation in Pasig is seeking a Credit and Collection Manager to join their Finance team. What you'll do:

As Credit and Collection Manager, you will be entrusted with overseeing a dynamic team responsible for managing complex credit accounts. Your day-to-day activities will involve guiding your team towards achieving monthly DSO targets through diligent monitoring of collections progress.

  • Oversee the Credit and Collection Team by providing guidance, motivation, and support to optimise their performance and professional development.
  • Ensure achievement of monthly Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) budget targets by monitoring collections progress and implementing effective action plans.
  • Monitor the productivity of field collectors, analysing their performance to identify areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
  • Develop sound credit policies that align with organisational objectives while creating an environment conducive to responsible risk management.
  • Review new customer credit checklists for completeness and creditworthiness, authorising applications according to established guidelines.
  • Initiate credits and adjustments within company policy limits, evaluating requests for extended terms or exceptions with careful consideration.
  • Monitor violations of credit policies by conducting thorough analysis, presenting findings to senior management, and suggesting appropriate actions or penalties.
  • Provide periodic reporting on risk accounts, collection progress, allowance for doubtful accounts, and overall status to senior management.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit all required reports on time as per management requirements.
  • Act promptly on customer complaints and inquiries following company SOPs to maintain strong business relationships and improve retention.

What you bring:

Your proven experience as a Credit and Collection Manager will demonstrate your ability to oversee teams within service-oriented environments. Your expertise in managing complex credit accounts at a managerial level equips you with the skills needed for reviewing applications thoroughly and making informed decisions regarding repayment terms.

  • Accountancy or Business Administration graduate with at least 2-3 years managerial experience
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience credit control and collections managing large and complex transactions
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit control at a management level is highly preferred to ensure familiarity with complex account handling.
  • Advanced computer skills are required for efficient data analysis, reporting, and record maintenance.
  • Detail-oriented approach combined with problem-solving abilities
  • Professional attitude with high motivation supports organisational planning and prioritising tasks under pressure.
  • Proven organisational skills and ability to coordinate multiple responsibilities seamlessly while maintaining accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaboration with colleagues across departments such as sales, customer service, finance, operations, and service teams.
  • Experience in managing self-emotions helps you remain calm, focused, optimistic when dealing with demanding situations or urgent customer needs.
