What you'll do:
As a Regulatory Compliance Manager, your role will be integral in maintaining the integrity of our client's operations. You will be tasked with maintaining an up-to-date Compliance Manual, developing compliance checklists for each portfolio, conducting periodic reviews, identifying breaches, preparing reports, implementing a monitoring program, staying updated on laws and regulations relevant to investment banking. Your ability to interpret complex regulations and recommend practical solutions will be crucial in this role.
* Maintain an up-to-date Compliance Manual reflecting relevant regulatory changes and internal policy updates.
* Develop and regularly update compliance checklists for each portfolio in accordance with internal and external regulatory guidelines.
* Conduct periodic compliance reviews to ensure all investment portfolios adhere to approved parameters.
* Identify, report, and analyze the root causes of company compliance breaches.
* Monitor employee adherence to all compliance policies and procedures.
* Prepare and submit daily and monthly compliance reports as needed.
* Implement a compliance monitoring program that covers key business regulatory risk areas.
* Stay updated on applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to investment banking.
* Provide interpretations and recommendations on the potential impact of new regulations on operations.
* Conduct due diligence on deals, contracts, treasury transactions, and loan agreements.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Regulatory Compliance Manager position brings a wealth of experience in regulatory compliance within the financial sector. With a strong background in law or finance coupled with 3-5 years of experience in similar roles within a bank or financial services institution. Your understanding of both local and international regulatory requirements will be key in this role. Your experience in policy development, risk assessment and regulatory reporting will be highly valued. Your excellent communication skills, strong ethical judgment and attention to detail will set you apart in this role.
* Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management or audit functions within a bank or financial services institution.
* Strong understanding of Philippine and international regulatory requirements including SEC, BSP, AMLA and data privacy laws.
* Experience in policy development, risk assessment and regulatory reporting.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations.
* Strong ethical judgment with high attention to detail.
