This role is integral in promoting and managing the culture and practice of compliance within the letter and spirit of regulatory requirements and ethical standards in the conduct of business. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company's compliance with these requirements and standards, ensuring that compliance and regulatory risks are anticipated, identified, escalated, mitigated, and managed effectively.

What you'll do:

As a Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of compliance within the organisation. You will be responsible for reviewing, issuing, and disseminating regulatory issuances from relevant authorities. Your excellent organisational skills will be utilised in tracking submissions of periodic regulatory reports from various business units. You will also prepare initial drafts of periodic reports to committees. Your role will involve monitoring submissions and assisting in issuing regulatory advisories. Additionally, you will handle materials, documents, meetings during visitation periods. Your meticulous attention to detail will be essential in maintaining a comprehensive files database.

  • Assist in issuing regulatory advisory to various Business Units of the Bank.

  • Assist in the review, issuance, and dissemination of regulatory updates and directives from relevant authorities to ensure company-wide awareness and compliance.

  • Conduct Compliance Reviews or support initiatives aligned with the department's approved annual Work Plan.

  • Coordinate with various Business Units to track the timely submission of periodic regulatory reports and ensure adherence to prescribed deadlines.

  • Draft and issue regulatory advisories to different BUs to provide guidance on interpretation and application of regulatory requirements.

  • Manage documentation, logistics, and coordination during regulatory visits, audits, and examinations.

  • Maintain an organized, updated database of regulatory documents and ensure proper filing for ease of access and audit-readiness.

  • Monitor and coordinate replies and undertakings related to regulatory findings in partnership with relevant BUs to ensure timely resolution.

  • Monitor submissions and/or directly submit regulatory reports to appropriate external authorities as required.

  • Prepare initial drafts of periodic compliance and regulatory reports for submission to internal committees.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Regulatory Compliance Manager position brings at least 5 years of experience working in a bank performing general or regulatory compliance functions. You have a working knowledge of banking products and services, including laws, rules, and regulations applicable in the Philippines. Your understanding of the regulatory environment in the Philippines is solid. Personal integrity and ethics are at your core, and you possess strong presentation and influencing skills. Your ability to establish relationships across all levels will be key in this role.

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships across all levels of the organization.

  • At least 5 years of work experience in a bank performing general or regulatory compliance functions.

  • Good understanding of the regulatory environment and frameworks governing financial institutions in the Philippines.

  • Personal integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and regulators.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple regulatory deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of banking products, operations, and services.

  • Working knowledge of relevant Philippine laws, rules, and regulations affecting the banking and financial sector.
