What you'll do:


As Head of Credit Collections in Metro Manila’s premier financial sector organisation, you will play a central role in shaping the future of credit collections. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve designing innovative strategies that span the entire collections lifecycle—from early intervention through to legal recoveries—ensuring every stage is managed efficiently. * Develop and implement comprehensive collections and recovery strategies tailored for consumer, retail, SME, and unsecured lending portfolios to maximise recoveries and minimise credit losses.
* Establish robust frameworks for managing accounts at various stages—early-stage, mid-stage, late-stage, and charged-off—to ensure effective treatment and resolution.
* Drive initiatives aimed at reducing delinquency rates, improving cure rates, and optimising overall recovery performance by continuously reviewing collection treatments based on portfolio behaviour and market conditions.
* Monitor portfolio quality using key risk metrics such as delinquency trends, roll rates, cure rates, recovery rates, and loss performance; develop action plans to address emerging risks.
* Collaborate closely with Credit Risk teams to identify trends in account performance and recommend policy enhancements that support sustainable portfolio quality.
* Oversee all collections activities across internal call centres, field operations, digital channels, and outsourced partners; ensure seamless execution of strategies through these diverse platforms.
* Lead recovery efforts for non-performing and charged-off accounts by overseeing restructuring programmes, settlements, rehabilitation initiatives, payment arrangements, and partnering with Legal teams on litigation or foreclosure actions when necessary.
* Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements—including BSP regulations, consumer protection laws, data privacy standards—and maintain strong governance controls across all collections activities.
* Develop comprehensive dashboards for collections performance monitoring; utilise data analytics and customer segmentation to refine collection treatments; prepare detailed reports for senior management review.
* Manage relationships with external vendors such as collection agencies and law firms by establishing service-level agreements, conducting regular reviews, assessing performance scorecards, and optimising outsourcing strategies.
