An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager with expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of IFRS initiatives. This position offers you the chance to lead and support critical projects focused on IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 implementation, encompassing data, reporting, systems, and process enhancements. You will be at the heart of a supportive and knowledgeable team, working closely with various departments and third-party providers to ensure seamless project execution. The organisation is committed to fostering an inclusive environment where your collaborative spirit, technical acumen, and ability to connect with stakeholders will be highly valued. With flexible working opportunities and a strong emphasis on professional development, this role provides the perfect platform for you to make a meaningful impact while advancing your career.

* Take ownership of end-to-end IFRS project delivery, ensuring all milestones are met within agreed timelines and budgets while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
* Work alongside a diverse group of professionals across multiple departments, sharing knowledge and building strong relationships that drive collective success.
* Benefit from a culture that values teamwork, open communication, and continuous learning, providing you with ample opportunities for growth and skill enhancement.

What you'll do:

As a Project Manager International Financial Reporting Standards, you will be entrusted with leading complex projects aimed at implementing new accounting standards across data management, reporting frameworks, system upgrades, and process improvements. Your day-to-day activities will involve close coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure all deliverables are achieved on time and within scope. You will design clear communication strategies that keep everyone informed about progress while also preparing insightful reports for senior leadership. By anticipating risks early on and collaborating openly with both internal colleagues and external partners, you will help create an environment where challenges are addressed constructively. Your ability to gather stakeholder input and translate it into actionable steps will be crucial in refining governance structures and driving continuous improvement throughout the programme lifecycle.

* Oversee assigned IFRS projects to guarantee adherence to established budgets, schedules, and defined scopes by coordinating resources efficiently and monitoring progress regularly.
* Develop comprehensive project proposals that clearly outline objectives, required technologies, information specifications, timelines, funding needs, and staffing requirements.
* Set realistic project milestones while proactively managing unforeseen delays by realigning schedules and expectations in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
* Establish robust communication plans for each project phase, ensuring timely status updates are provided to staff members and key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
* Collect, analyse, and summarise project-related information and trends to prepare detailed status reports that inform decision-making at every level.
* Collaborate effectively with different internal departments as well as third-party service providers to facilitate smooth project execution and address any operational challenges.
* Anticipate potential risks that could impact project delivery; work closely with stakeholders to develop effective mitigation strategies that safeguard project outcomes.
* Assess critical risks as they arise, present pressing issues transparently to the steering committee, and recommend practical solutions for resolution.
* Identify bottlenecks or obstacles within the project workflow; take prompt action to resolve these issues so that progress remains uninterrupted.
* Gather feedback or change requests from stakeholders; communicate these thoughtfully to the steering committee for fair consideration as part of ongoing programme refinement.

What you bring:

In this Project Manager International Financial Reporting Standards role, your background in overseeing complex regulatory projects will set you up for success. You bring not only technical proficiency but also exceptional people skills—enabling you to foster trust among colleagues from diverse backgrounds. Your experience navigating multifaceted environments means you understand how important it is to maintain open lines of communication while balancing competing priorities. You have demonstrated your ability to assess risks thoughtfully without losing sight of broader organisational goals. Your familiarity with both IT systems development cycles and financial reporting requirements allows you to bridge technical gaps effectively. Above all else, your collaborative approach ensures that every team member feels supported as you collectively strive towards shared objectives.

* Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects related to International Financial Reporting Standards (such as IFRS 17 or IFRS 9), ideally within financial services or similar regulated industries.
* Proven track record in developing detailed project proposals covering objectives, technology requirements, timelines, funding allocations, and resource planning.
* Strong interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams as well as third-party vendors or service providers.
* Excellent risk assessment capabilities; able to identify potential issues early on and work collaboratively with stakeholders to implement effective mitigation measures.
* Advanced analytical abilities for collecting data trends, preparing comprehensive status reports, and supporting evidence-based decision-making processes.
* Experience in facilitating communication between business units—particularly between technology teams and other departments—to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.
* Familiarity with system/application development or enhancement processes including user acceptance testing (UAT) support and drafting statistical reports for decision-makers.
* Ability to manage client/vendor relationships by acting as a reliable point of contact who can bridge gaps between business branches or external partners.
* Up-to-date knowledge of current information technology applications relevant to financial reporting standards implementation projects.
* A commitment to nurturing positive working relationships through empathy, dependability, sensitivity towards others’ perspectives, and a willingness to share knowledge generously.
