A leading organisation in the Philippines is seeking a Product Development Associate Vice President to spearhead the creation and enhancement of insurance products. This role offers you the opportunity to shape the future of insurance by designing innovative solutions that meet evolving customer needs, while ensuring actuarial soundness and regulatory compliance. You will be part of a supportive team environment where cross-departmental collaboration is valued, and your expertise will directly influence strategic direction. The company is committed to providing flexible working opportunities, ongoing training, and a culture that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth. If you are passionate about leveraging InsurTech trends and digital distribution channels to transform life insurance, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact.

* You will lead the design and development of new insurance products, including term, whole life, endowment, and investment-linked offerings, ensuring they remain competitive and relevant in the market.
* You will collaborate closely with actuarial, legal, IT, marketing, sales, and compliance teams to ensure seamless product launches and ongoing lifecycle management.
* You will benefit from flexible working arrangements, continuous training opportunities, and a supportive leadership team dedicated to your professional development.

What you'll do:

As a Product Development Associate Vice President in the Philippines, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s portfolio of life insurance offerings. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading multidisciplinary teams through every stage of product development—from ideation informed by market research to launch preparation supported by robust internal communication. You will work closely with actuaries to ensure pricing accuracy and profitability while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory frameworks. By coordinating with IT specialists for system configuration and conducting rigorous testing procedures, you will ensure seamless integration of new products into core platforms. Your ability to compile detailed documentation for both internal approval processes and external regulatory submissions will be crucial. Post-launch, you will monitor performance metrics such as persistency rates and claims experience to drive continuous improvement. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration as well as analytical acumen for interpreting data trends. Your contributions will directly impact customer satisfaction levels and support the company’s strategic ambitions in an evolving insurance landscape.

* Lead the design and development of new insurance products such as term, whole life, endowment, and investment-linked policies by integrating customer insights and actuarial principles.
* Continuously improve existing products to reflect changing customer needs, maintain actuarial soundness, and enhance market competitiveness through regular reviews and updates.
* Conduct comprehensive research on industry trends, customer behaviour, and competitor strategies to inform product concepts that align with organisational goals.
* Generate and evaluate product ideas based on market analysis, feedback from distribution channels, and strategic objectives; consult with relevant departments for feature refinement.
* Engage proactively with underwriting, legal, operations, IT, compliance, and marketing teams throughout the product design process to ensure cross-functional alignment.
* Collaborate closely with actuaries to finalise pricing structures, reserves calculations, profitability assumptions, and prepare supporting documentation such as product specifications and marketing summaries.
* Ensure all products comply with internal governance standards as well as external regulatory requirements by submitting files for committee review and regulatory approval.
* Coordinate with IT teams to guarantee core system readiness for new products; conduct thorough system testing and validation to confirm functionality and compliance.
* Compile and review product documents including policy wording, marketing materials, operational manuals for approval; generate performance reports post-launch and recommend optimisations.
* Monitor product performance across its lifecycle—persistency rates, claims experience, customer satisfaction—and propose refinements or phase-outs based on metrics.

What you bring:

Your background as a Product Development Associate Vice President should include substantial experience in developing insurance products within regulated environments. You possess advanced analytical skills that allow you to interpret data trends effectively while modelling business outcomes using industry-standard tools. Your familiarity with local regulations ensures that all products meet stringent compliance requirements. You have demonstrated success collaborating across multiple departments—actuarial teams for pricing accuracy; legal experts for contract clarity; IT professionals for system integration; marketing specialists for launch campaigns; sales representatives for distribution strategies; compliance officers for governance checks. Your passion for InsurTech innovations positions you at the forefront of digital transformation initiatives within life insurance. You are adept at compiling detailed documentation required for approvals while maintaining clear communication channels internally. Your ability to monitor product performance post-launch enables you to recommend timely optimisations that enhance customer satisfaction. Above all else, your commitment to teamwork fosters an inclusive environment where knowledge sharing drives collective success.

* Bachelor’s degree or completion of a four-year course in Mathematics, Economics, Marketing or Business provides a solid foundation for this role.
* At least three to six years of proven experience in insurance product development ensures you bring deep industry knowledge.
* Comprehensive understanding of local regulatory frameworks governing life insurance products—including approval processes with financial authorities—is essential.
* Familiarity with actuarial guidelines such as risk-based capital (RBC) frameworks and market conduct rules supports compliance efforts.
* Experience implementing or supporting digital life insurance platforms or features is highly advantageous for driving transformation initiatives.
* Strong quantitative skills enable you to interpret complex data sets, assess product performance accurately, and model business outcomes effectively.
* Proficiency in tools like Excel or Power BI—and ideally experience with actuarial or product modelling software—enhances your analytical capabilities.
* Demonstrated ability to develop creative yet commercially viable product solutions based on market insights showcases your problem-solving approach.
* Ability to work dependably across departments including actuarial, legal, marketing, IT, sales, and compliance ensures successful product launches.
