What you'll do:

As a Sales Treasury Trader based in Makati, you will be at the heart of the institution’s treasury operations. • Manage risk by adhering strictly to trading limits and regulatory requirements while maintaining accurate records of all transactions for audit purposes.
• Collaborate closely with sales, research, risk management, and operations teams to optimise trading strategies and ensure seamless execution of deals.
• Provide timely pricing information and market updates to clients and internal teams using advanced trading platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or proprietary systems.
• Offer a comprehensive suite of treasury products to clients, consistently striving to meet or exceed established sales targets while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Book transactions efficiently before cut-off times while managing client expectations through clear communication and proactive service.
• Establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients through regular calls, visits, and personalised service tailored to their unique needs.
• Prepare detailed documentation for all transactions, ensuring accuracy in reporting as well as compliance with counterparty limits and internal controls.
• Conduct daily canvassing of market rate indications, update rate sheets promptly, analyse market conditions, prepare interest rate scenarios, monitor placement maturities, repackage commercial papers for resale when necessary, and perform other functions as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Banking or any related field is required for this position.
• Preferably holds a Certified Securities Representative (CR) licence or equivalent certification relevant to securities trading within the Philippines’ regulatory environment.
• Brings 2-5 years of relevant experience in financial services including at least 1-2 years specifically within banking environments such as retail banking, treasury trading desks or investment banking divisions.
• Demonstrates strong understanding of financial markets including knowledge of various instruments (equities, bonds/fixed income products, FX/currencies & derivatives) along with associated trading strategies.
• Proficient in utilising major trading platforms (e.g., Bloomberg Terminal or Reuters Eikon) as well as financial analysis tools essential for informed decision-making.
• Familiarity with local regulatory frameworks such as those set by SEC (Securities & Exchange Commission), BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas), AML (Anti-Money Laundering) guidelines is highly desirable.
• Exhibits robust analytical skills combined with quantitative acumen enabling effective problem-solving even under pressure or tight deadlines.
• Possesses clear verbal & written communication abilities facilitating smooth collaboration across departments & effective interaction with clients at all levels.
• Displays initiative by executing routine tasks independently within established guidelines while managing workload responsibly under minimal supervision from senior staff members.
