What you'll do:
As Capital and Recovery Risk Lead you will play an instrumental role in safeguarding the organisation’s financial stability by overseeing critical risk management frameworks. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure robust capital adequacy assessments are conducted under various scenarios. You will be responsible for embedding early warning systems into governance structures while continuously refining methodologies for stress testing. Success in this position requires you to translate complex analytical outcomes into practical recommendations for senior leadership. * Lead the end-to-end development, governance, and quality assurance of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Recovery Plan, ensuring full alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
* Collaborate closely with business units and risk teams to gather essential inputs, provide effective second-line challenge, and ensure timely submission of reports to regulators including responses to feedback.
* Oversee controls, data integrity, and methodological soundness across ICAAP, Recovery Planning, and stress testing activities while coordinating independent validations and addressing findings promptly.
* Ensure Early Warning Indicators (EWIs), triggers, escalation protocols, and management actions related to the Recovery Plan are operationally embedded within governance processes and regularly tested for effectiveness.
* Continuously enhance the enterprise stress testing framework by refining scenario design, assumptions, methodologies, and ensuring alignment with the organisation’s risk profile.
* Analyse complex stress testing outcomes to generate actionable insights that inform capital management strategies, risk appetite decisions, and overall organisational resilience.
* Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and the Risk Management Committee that clearly communicate key findings across ICAAP, Recovery Planning, stress testing results, capital adequacy status, and risk appetite framework alignment.
* Facilitate strong governance practices by ensuring robust documentation standards are maintained throughout all risk management processes.
* Support regulatory examinations by providing clear evidence of compliance with relevant guidelines while proactively identifying areas for improvement.
* Drive a culture of continuous improvement by sharing best practices across teams and supporting knowledge transfer initiatives.

* Exceptional analytical skills enabling you to synthesise large volumes of data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
* Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to collaborate effectively with business units, risk teams, auditors, regulators, and senior management alike.
* Demonstrated track record of preparing high-quality reports for executive audiences including Board-level committees or equivalent governance bodies.
* Experience designing or enhancing stress testing frameworks including scenario analysis methodologies aligned with organisational risk profiles.
* Familiarity with early warning indicators (EWIs), escalation protocols or similar mechanisms within recovery planning contexts.
* Excellent written communication skills ensuring clarity in documentation standards across all aspects of risk management processes.
