Workday Learning Functional Lead

Our client is seeking a Workday Learning Functional Lead to provide global and local solutions to business problems and requirements. This role requires a deep understanding of the organisation’s strategy, way of working and business architecture. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, improving, and optimising their Workday solutions based on a Global Footprint, where the employee experience is one of their key focus areas.

What you'll do:

As a Workday Learning Functional Lead, you will be at the forefront of driving continuous improvement initiatives that support business strategies and operational needs. You will utilise your deep subject matter expertise in designated functional areas of Workday to solve complex problems and optimise processes. Your ability to analyse global and local HR process requirements will be crucial in translating these into effective Workday configuration designs. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will work towards designing or optimising the Workday solution based on an already established Global Footprint.

  • Keep abreast of Workday functional developments and roadmaps to drive continuous improvements initiatives and support business strategies and operational needs.
  • Provide deep subject matter expertise in designated functional area of Workday to solve problems and/or optimise processes.
  • Work with Global team and countries to design or optimise the Workday solution based on the already designed Global Footprint.
  • Analyse global and local HR process requirements and translate these into Workday configuration designs.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders such as Global Process Leads, Product Owners and the IT Workday Team.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the position of Workday Learning Functional Lead brings a wealth of experience in Workday implementation. With proficiency in multiple Workday modules including Core HCM and Learning, you have a strong functional understanding of HR operations, processes, and data definitions. Your experience as a Functional Consultant in at least one full end-to-end Workday implementation in a multinational, complex environment sets you apart. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and your business analytical skills enable you to understand problems and translate them into clearly articulated solutions. Your organised and disciplined way of working, coupled with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines, makes you the perfect fit for this role.

  • Proven 4 - 6 years of experience in Workday implementation.
  • Experience in multiple Workday modules: Workday Core HCM and Learning are essential.
  • At least 1 of the following: Benefits, Recruitment, Expenses, Time & Absence and Talent.
  • Workday Service Partner Certification or Customer Certification in HCM and/or other modules.
  • Strong functional understanding of HR Operations, processes, and data definitions.
  • Experience as Functional Consultant in at least 1 full end-to-end Workday implementation in a multinational, complex environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Business Analytical skills – ability to actively listen to understand the problem and translate this into clearly articulated solutions which the business can understand.
  • Organised and disciplined way of working with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines.
