What you'll do:

As a Piping Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality piping designs for major projects within the process industries.

• Develop detailed equipment layouts that optimise space utilisation and ensure efficient workflow within assigned design areas.
• Create accurate equipment and piping models using advanced 3D design software, producing comprehensive piping drawings and isometrics for project execution.
• Produce precise 2D CAD drawings to support the overall design documentation required for each project phase.
• Monitor and adhere to established budgets and schedules, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design outputs while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
• Contribute innovative value engineering solutions by identifying time- and cost-saving opportunities that enhance safety, quality, and productivity across projects.
• Actively participate in mentoring or teaching colleagues by sharing technical knowledge and best practices to foster team development.
• Coordinate closely with other departments both locally and internationally to ensure seamless integration of piping designs into multidisciplinary project environments.
• Demonstrate flexibility by adjusting work hours as needed to participate in remote meetings with overseas offices, ensuring effective communication across time zones.
• Fulfil multiple project roles such as Designer, Checker, Drafter, or Isometric Control Technician as required by specific assignments.

What you bring:

To excel as a Piping Engineer in this role, you will bring extensive hands-on experience from similar positions within the process or petrochemical sectors.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required for this position to ensure a strong foundation in core engineering principles relevant to piping design.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) status is mandatory to demonstrate professional qualification within the field.
• A minimum of ten years’ experience in piping design—preferably within the petrochemical or process industries—ensures familiarity with complex project requirements.
• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and Plant 3D is essential for producing accurate models and drawings; familiarity with additional 3D modelling software such as Optiplant, PDMS, PDS or CADWorx is highly desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of piping-related industry standards ensures compliance with regulatory requirements throughout all phases of design.
• Aptitude with Windows Office Suite supports effective documentation and communication across various platforms used within the organisation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Filipino enable clear interaction with local teams as well as international stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach combined with a strong team-player attitude fosters positive relationships within multidisciplinary groups.
• Solid knowledge of P&ID’s (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) along with piping specifications enhances accuracy during design development stages.
• Ability to work independently when required demonstrates reliability while contributing effectively within larger project teams.
