What you'll do:
- Build, nurture, and develop a high-performing team of engineers by establishing clear processes and fostering a culture that aligns with organisational values.

- Lead automation project teams by managing all technical aspects efficiently to guarantee successful project outcomes.
- Oversee complex automation projects during critical ramp-up phases, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to timelines.
- Manage the technical scope of assigned projects by setting clear objectives and monitoring progress towards defined goals.
- Conduct regular project reviews to maintain exceptional quality standards and proactively resolve any emerging issues.
- Participate actively in meetings with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout each project lifecycle.
- Support Project Managers by providing technical input for claims management and addressing deviations from project plans.
- Take ownership of technical design for intricate plant systems, approving deliverables to ensure they meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Mentor engineering team members by offering technical support, supervision, and guidance to foster their professional growth.
What you bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering provides you with a solid foundation for this role.
- At least 10 years’ experience working within relevant fields ensures you bring deep industry knowledge to the table.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Lead Project Engineer in industrial automation settings demonstrates your proven track record in managing electrical installation or commissioning at customer sites.
- Proficiency using Siemens programming tools such as Step7 or TIA Portal for PLC S7-300/400/1500 systems is essential for success in this position.
- Hands-on experience with HMI (Human Machine Interface) and SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems—including commissioning within manufacturing environments—will set you apart.
- Familiarity with .NET programming languages and SQL Server databases would be considered advantageous but not mandatory.
- Exceptional planning abilities combined with strong organisational skills enable you to prioritise tasks effectively while maintaining attention to detail throughout each phase of a project.
- Demonstrated leadership experience highlights your capacity for guiding teams through complex challenges while fostering an atmosphere built on trust and mutual respect.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills allow you to articulate ideas clearly when interacting with colleagues or customers alike.
