What you'll do:
As Supply Chain Manager, you will play a central role in orchestrating all aspects of supply chain management within the Philippines.
- Develop and implement robust demand forecasting processes by collaborating with sales and marketing teams to gather data based on historical trends, market analysis, and customer behaviour.
- Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer insights to inform accurate demand forecasts and make timely adjustments as needed.
- Review monthly forecasts with the Sales team at the customer level while monitoring forecast accuracy and bias on a regular basis.
- Drive the implementation of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) demand reviews to align production schedules with business needs.
- Coordinate closely with production teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials for manufacturing, including managing supplier relationships to meet demand forecasts.
- Ensure all necessary licenses and registrations for new products are secured prior to order placement by customers.
- Optimise inventory levels through collaboration with various departments, implementing control measures to prevent shortages or overstock situations while maintaining perishable and obsolete inventory below 5% of total stock.
- Monitor shipment statuses meticulously to guarantee timely arrivals that meet customer demands; review all shipping documents for accuracy before submission to customs brokers.
- Oversee warehouse operations by optimising costs, monitoring waste disposal plans, conducting cycle counts with third-party logistics providers (3PL), and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for 3PL performance.
- Lead the Customer Service team by providing coaching, training, and regular feedback; oversee operational dispute resolution related to quality or delivery issues while continuously improving customer service processes.
What you bring:
To excel as Supply Chain Manager in this setting, you will bring a wealth of experience gained from senior roles within operations or supply chain functions—ideally within sectors such as lubricants or fast-moving consumer goods.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics or a related field is required as foundational preparation for this multifaceted role.
- A minimum of eight years’ proven experience in operations or supply chain management encompassing order handling, third-party logistics oversight, and comprehensive inventory management is essential.
- Experience within the lubricants industry is highly desirable as it provides valuable sector-specific knowledge relevant to this position.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP SD and MM modules is advantageous along with advanced skills in MS Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Fluency in both Malay and English (professional proficiency) for written and spoken communication is required given the regional scope of responsibilities.
