What you'll do:

As Labour Law Attorney and Corporate Secretary, you will be entrusted with safeguarding the organisation’s interests through expert legal counsel tailored specifically to Philippine operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with senior leaders as you interpret complex legislation, provide practical solutions for employment issues, and be the advisor through sensitive situations. By managing disciplinary cases with empathy and precision, you will help maintain a harmonious workplace culture. In addition to these core duties, you will coordinate with external partners for specialised legal support when necessary.   • Administer disciplinary procedures such as issuing Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Performance Development Plans (PDP), ensuring accurate documentation throughout each process.

  • Conduct new hire orientations and participate in final interviews for roles within Philippine operations, ensuring candidates understand their rights and responsibilities.

  • Coordinate closely with external law firms based in the Philippines to secure additional legal assistance when required.

  • Ensure timely fulfilment of disclosure requirements to both the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE).

  • Lead a team by providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective delivery of legal and compliance services.

  • Manage employee relations for Philippine staff by addressing concerns promptly and compassionately while upholding company policies.

  • Oversee and manage compliance with Philippine labour law regulations across all levels of the organisation’s operations.

  • Oversee management of corporate documents to guarantee full compliance with relevant Philippine regulatory bodies at all times.

  • Provide comprehensive advice to corporate leadership regarding legal rules and regulations affecting Philippine staff, ensuring all actions align with current laws.

  • Represent the organisation in legal proceedings within the Philippines, including National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) hearings, advocating for fair outcomes.
