- Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relevant to corporate secretarial functions within the banking sector.
- Support the Head of Legal by preparing legal documents, reviewing contracts, and assisting with litigation matters as required by the business.
- Liaise regularly with internal stakeholders such as senior management, department heads, and external parties including regulators or third-party vendors supporting banking operations.
- Draft resolutions, maintain registers of directors and shareholders, and manage filings with regulatory authorities to uphold best practices in corporate governance.
- Assist in managing litigation cases by coordinating documentation, tracking deadlines, and supporting case preparation under supervision from senior legal staff.
- Provide guidance on company policies related to governance and compliance while ensuring all procedures align with current legislation affecting financial institutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes relating to both corporate secretarial work and litigation support through knowledge sharing within the team.

Exposure to litigation work within a financial services setting is also important; you should feel comfortable assisting with document preparation for cases or hearings while keeping track of critical deadlines. Your interpersonal skills will enable you to build trusted relationships across departments while your written communication abilities allow you to produce high-quality documentation under tight timelines. A keen eye for detail ensures nothing slips through the cracks whether you’re updating registers or compiling board packs. Above all else, your sense of responsibility towards confidentiality sets you apart as someone who can be relied upon when handling sensitive information. Your adaptability means you thrive even when priorities shift unexpectedly—a valuable trait given the dynamic nature of both board cycles and legal proceedings.
