Head of Marketing

Save job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Marketing to join a leading player in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, based in Makati. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on shaping product strategies, driving brand growth, and nurturing high-performing teams. The organisation offers a supportive environment where your expertise in product management, market research, and brand activation will be highly valued.

What you'll do:

As Head of Marketing, you will play an instrumental role in steering the direction of multiple brands within the FMCG landscape. Your day-to-day activities will involve crafting detailed product roadmaps that anticipate market shifts while supporting strategic business goals. You will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of new product launches—from conducting insightful market research to managing OEM partnerships—ensuring seamless execution at every stage. By formulating bespoke strategies for various retail channels and meticulously managing P&L responsibilities, you will help secure sustainable growth for each category. Your expertise in brand planning will see you designing impactful marketing campaigns that span both traditional media and digital platforms. In addition to these core functions, you will nurture a positive team environment by recruiting talented individuals, providing ongoing coaching, and promoting professional development opportunities. Success in this position requires an ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while maintaining open lines of communication with internal stakeholders and external partners alike.

  • Develop a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with evolving market trends and supports the company’s mid-term strategic objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market research to inform new product launches and drive ongoing New Product Development initiatives.
  • Oversee Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) management processes to facilitate the introduction of new products and ensure effective handling of imported goods.
  • Formulate tailored product strategies for each retail channel, including making informed decisions on product listings and optimal pricing structures.
  • Manage product-level profit and loss by accounting for retail promotions, listing fees, and selling, general & administrative expenses.
  • Plan and execute New Product Development (NPD) and New Product Introduction (NPI) strategies to ensure sustainable category growth and maintain market competitiveness.
  • Develop and implement brand strategies as well as marketing plans that are closely aligned with the company’s vision to build long-term brand equity.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns across all channels, adjusting tactics as needed to optimise return on investment and achieve business goals.
  • Lead the commercial launch of key products through OEM production by collaborating with partners on production planning, marketing materials, and brand communication.
  • Attract, recruit, retain, and develop top marketing talent by fostering a collaborative team culture focused on engagement, motivation, and shared success.

What you bring:

To excel as Head of Marketing in this organisation, your background should reflect substantial experience within the FMCG sector where you have successfully managed cross-functional teams. Your academic credentials will underpin your practical expertise in areas such as product management, campaign execution, and financial oversight. You bring not only technical proficiency but also interpersonal sensitivity—enabling you to communicate clearly across diverse audiences while building trust-based relationships. Your approach is grounded in empathy; you understand how to motivate others through encouragement rather than pressure. Familiarity with Asian or Halal markets would be particularly valuable given the company’s broad reach. Above all else, your ability to interpret complex data sets into actionable insights ensures that every decision contributes positively towards business objectives. Your time management skills are complemented by an inclusive mindset that values collaboration over competition—making you an ideal fit for a team-oriented workplace.

  • A minimum degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any relevant field is required to provide foundational knowledge essential for this senior role.
  • At least five years’ experience within the fast-moving consumer goods industry—preferably with multinational companies—demonstrates your familiarity with complex market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to inspire teams through considerate leadership practices that foster motivation, engagement, and shared achievement.
  • Experience working within Asian markets or Halal segments is considered advantageous due to the company’s diverse portfolio.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills enable you to connect effectively with colleagues at all levels as well as external partners.
  • Advanced computer literacy—particularly strong proficiency in Excel—is necessary for data analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Demonstrated capability in gathering data-driven insights to support informed decision-making across all aspects of marketing operations.
  • Outstanding presentation skills allow you to influence credibly both internally among peers and externally with business partners.
  • Excellent organisational abilities ensure you can prioritise multiple projects efficiently while meeting tight deadlines.

Due to the high volume of applications we are experiencing, our team will only be in touch with you if your application is shortlisted.
