What you'll do:

  • Provide expert service support as an L3 specialist for critical business services, ensuring high standards of operational continuity.
  • Identify, analyse, and develop effective solutions for complex incidents or problems raised by stakeholders and clients as needed.
  • Develop tools and solutions that enable business continuity while proactively mitigating potential impacts on operations.
  • Maintain timely updates on assigned tasks, delivering responses and solutions within agreed team timelines to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Propose corrective action plans for recurring issues, contributing to long-term service improvement initiatives.
  • Deploy bug-fixes in managed applications efficiently while minimising disruption to users.
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders, analyse needs, design robust solutions, and implement complex data visualisations tailored to business objectives.
  • Participate actively in internal knowledge sharing sessions, collaborative activities, and ongoing service enhancement projects.
  • Monitor systems proactively; resolve incidents and problems; document processes; automate repetitive tasks; assess change requests; and implement deployments as required.
  • Share technical feedback with colleagues and mentor teammates to foster collective growth within the team.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking abilities paired with strong problem-solving skills that enable you to tackle complex technical challenges effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the capacity to translate intricate technical details into clear information for business or non-technical stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience working with SQL, T-SQL, and PL/SQL languages—including ETL processes, merge operations, partition exchange techniques, exception handling strategies, error management protocols, and performance tuning methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience using R as well as Python/PySpark (especially Pandas, Numpy, Pathlib) for data analysis tasks.
  • Familiarity with Azure Fundamentals—particularly Azure Blob Storage (file systems management and AzCopy usage)—and Azure Data Services such as Databricks and Data Factory.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ETL process operations including triggers and schedulers for efficient data movement.
  • Experience logging and handling various file types such as JSON within enterprise environments.
  • Proficiency maintaining Git repositories alongside practical knowledge of DevOps concepts related to building, testing, and deploying processes.
  • Willingness to work night shifts as part of a global support operation committed to business continuity across time zones.
  • Nice to have: Experience with Control-M scheduling tool (or readiness to learn on the job), additional expertise in PySpark with emphasis on SQL functions.
