What you'll do:

• Develop credit risk management and business intelligence analytic solutions by leading consulting engagements and research initiatives tailored to clients’ needs in the financial services sector.
• Partner with internal and external cross-functional teams to drive new business initiatives and deliver long-term value-added product propositions for B2B customers.
• Lead analytic client engagements involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis throughout the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle using advanced machine learning techniques such as decision trees, logistic regression, linear regression, and gradient boosting.
• Design and write programmes for data extraction, segmentation, and statistical analysis on large population datasets utilising languages including R, SQL, and Hive.
• Deliver analytic insights and recommendations through succinct presentations crafted for both internal stakeholders and executive-level external audiences.
• Develop project proposals, sales presentations, and promotional collateral to facilitate the adoption of integrated customer solutions supported by advanced analytics.
• Identify strategies and opportunities for customers to test and adopt innovative analytic products and services that address current industry challenges.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior colleagues while maintaining progress on all initiatives with minimal direct supervision.
• Foster a high-performance culture that cultivates excellence and reflects the brand’s commitment to integrity, service, reliability, and innovation.

What you bring:

• Master’s or PhD degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research or another highly quantitative field demonstrating academic excellence.
• At least eight years of professional experience performing analytic work within financial services or closely related industries.
• Multiple examples of demonstrated success in client-facing roles over a period of at least three years showcasing your collaborative approach.
• Advanced analytical skills combined with critical thinking abilities that enable creative problem solving in complex scenarios.
• Proven ability to lead data science analytics leveraging machine learning techniques such as decision trees, logistic regression, linear regression, and gradient boosting algorithms.
• Expert programming skills with mastery of statistical languages like R or Python; experience using other programming/data manipulation languages (SQL, Hive) alongside proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Versatile interpersonal communication style allowing effective engagement at multiple levels within organisations as well as externally with clients.
• Strong project management capabilities enabling you to manage multiple assignments efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of current industry challenges/trends sufficient to proactively identify customers’ analytical needs along with related business opportunities.
• Willingness to travel 10-20% as required for client engagements or internal meetings.
