What you'll do:
As Cybersecurity Lead, you will be entrusted with overseeing the organisation’s entire spectrum of information security activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve developing comprehensive strategies that align with business goals while safeguarding critical assets from evolving threats. You will work collaboratively with various departments to ensure that robust governance frameworks are in place, manage compliance documentation meticulously, respond swiftly to incidents by convening expert teams when needed, conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities before they become issues, and foster an environment where every employee understands their role in maintaining cybersecurity. - Oversee all aspects of information security governance processes, representing organisational interests within group-level cybersecurity committees and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop, plan, and maintain inclusive information security programmes that support both business operations and technological innovation throughout the organisation.
- Collaborate closely on risk control matrices and compliance activities, ensuring IT security controls are well established, thoroughly documented, and consistently followed by all stakeholders.
- Implement effective policies and practices to safeguard protected and sensitive data while ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation and legal interpretations.
- Assist in preparing clear, detailed, and accurate compliance documentation such as process narratives, flow charts, control descriptions, risk control matrices, test programmes, test results, management responses, and remediation plans.
- Monitor emerging security incidents proactively and act as the primary control point during significant information security events to coordinate timely responses.
- Convene Security Incident Response Teams (SIRT) when necessary or upon request to address and investigate any arising security incidents efficiently.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and tests to verify the proper functioning of data processing activities as well as the effectiveness of implemented security measures.
- Perform thorough business impact assessments and privacy impact assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities or areas for improvement within existing systems.
- Design engaging information security education and awareness programmes aimed at promoting a culture of vigilance among all employees.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology or equivalent industry experience demonstrating a solid foundation in technical principles relevant to cybersecurity.
- At least five years’ proven experience in Information Security roles with a strong understanding of operational requirements for securing enterprise environments.
- Extensive knowledge of Risk Management Frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Frameworks along with hands-on experience in vulnerability management processes.
- Demonstrated success implementing and managing Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) programmes within complex organisations.
- In-depth familiarity with ISO 27001 standard requirements including practical application for certification or ongoing compliance efforts.
- Excellent communication skills enabling you to explain technical concepts effectively across diverse audiences while building consensus around best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities allowing you to assess situations quickly and recommend appropriate solutions that balance risk mitigation with business needs.
- Experience preparing detailed compliance documentation including process narratives, flow charts, control descriptions, risk control matrices, test programmes/results, management responses/remediation plans.
- Proven track record conducting business impact assessments (BIA) or privacy impact assessments (PIA) within regulated industries or large-scale enterprises.
