Our client is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their skilled Engineering team. This role presents a unique opportunity to tackle highly technical challenges across a broad spectrum of technologies. While the primary focus is on DevOps, the ideal candidate will also be comfortable writing small amounts of backend and frontend code. What you'll do:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, your role will be pivotal in enhancing our client's operational metrics. You will manage multiple deployments, ensuring zero downtime during rollbacks. Your expertise will be crucial in automating deployment tooling and improving the speed and cost-effectiveness of cloud infrastructure as the company expands. You will also monitor and enhance database performance, manage internal onboarding/off-boarding processes, and take the lead during significant architectural changes.
- Improving operational metrics such as lead time for changes, deployment frequency, and deployment confidence and reliability
- Managing and improving multiple deployments while establishing zero downtime rollbacks
- Automating deployment tooling
- Improving speed and cost of cloud infrastructure as the company grows
- Enhancing continuous integration and delivery systems (GitHub)
- Monitoring and improving database performance
- Managing internal onboarding/off-boarding processes
- Taking charge when large architectural changes are required
What you bring:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you bring a wealth of experience in Python, Terraform, Docker & Kubernetes, and Google Cloud with GKE. Your ability to manage deployments of one application to several destinations sets you apart. You have a deep understanding of CI/CD Pipelines and Postgres. Additional skills in TypeScript, GQL, GitHub Actions, Django would be beneficial. Above all else, you possess a security-focused mindset and a passion for automation.
