What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust Pega applications with a focus on creating efficient workflows, intuitive user interfaces, and reliable business logic tailored to various business needs.
  • Independently manage key components of projects by taking ownership of features from conception through delivery, ensuring timely completion within defined scope.
  • Optimise existing Pega applications for enhanced performance, scalability, and maintainability by applying industry best practices and standards throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Diagnose complex technical issues within Pega systems promptly and implement effective solutions to minimise disruption to critical business operations.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Journey Experts (CJEs), architects, product owners, squad leads, junior developers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable Pega solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers by fostering a nurturing environment focused on knowledge sharing, skill development, and mutual support.
  • Contribute actively to strategic decision-making processes within your squad by offering insights based on your experience with Pega technologies.
  • Ensure all developed solutions adhere strictly to regulatory requirements and organisational standards relevant to large financial institutions.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum/DevOps project teams by contributing constructively during sprints, stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning sessions.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies relevant to Pega development and proactively recommend improvements or innovations that can benefit the wider team.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in developing Pega applications with deep understanding of rules configuration, class structures, flows management, and data modelling techniques.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing comprehensive Pega Case Types that address complex workflow requirements across different business domains.
  • Solid knowledge of integration techniques within the Pega platform including REST/SOAP services setup for seamless connectivity between systems.
  • Familiarity with case management principles specific to Pega environments enabling effective orchestration of end-to-end business processes.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum/DevOps frameworks which emphasise collaboration among multidisciplinary teams for iterative delivery of value-driven solutions.
  • Exceptional analytical abilities coupled with conceptual thinking skills necessary for architectural planning in regulated industries such as finance or banking.
  • Previous exposure to large-scale enterprise environments where compliance with stringent regulatory standards is essential for successful project delivery.
  • Minimum three years’ practical experience in Pega Development supported by relevant certifications such as Certified System Architect (CSA) or Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA), though these are preferred rather than mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills in English—both written and verbal—with proven ability to facilitate consensus among diverse stakeholders during requirement gathering or problem-solving sessions.
  • A humble approach characterised by openness to feedback; willingness to admit mistakes; pride in delivering quality work; enthusiasm for sharing knowledge within external networks.
