What you'll do:

• Oversee the implementation of strategic information security plans by establishing structured control standards that maximize resource utilization and mitigate risk exposures across all banking operations.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality assurance processes for various security infrastructure baselines to ensure a secure operational environment for processing facilities and connected services.
• Act as a liaison between all units within the bank on matters related to information security, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across departments.
• Coordinate and direct specific actions that provide a stable information system environment consistent with established security policies, ensuring ongoing protection of sensitive data.
• Create and periodically modify technical standards and standard operating procedures that support the bank’s information security policy, adapting to evolving threats and regulatory changes.
• Develop and maintain user access models that safeguard critical information assets during system implementations or migrations, ensuring only authorised personnel have access.
• Ensure new products, services, and systems comply with security policies and standards before their launch, proactively identifying potential vulnerabilities.
• Administer adequate controls during system implementation or migration projects to protect critical bank information assets from unauthorised access or breaches.
• Review compliance with regulatory requirements as well as internal control standards, preparing detailed reports for senior management on findings and recommendations.
• Head the incident handling process for information security events, including requesting approval for external consultants when necessary to review complex security-related projects.

What you bring:

• Demonstrated experience of at least five years managing information security within banking or related industries, showcasing your ability to handle complex risk environments.
• Proven track record in IT Risk Management with more than five years’ hands-on involvement in identifying, evaluating, and treating technology risks across large organizations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of information security management principles including risk assessment methodologies tailored for financial institutions.
• In-depth understanding of information security standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 or similar frameworks relevant to banking operations.
• Expertise in designing technical standards and standard operating procedures that align with organizational policies while addressing evolving cyber threats.
• Ability to develop user access models that effectively safeguard critical assets during system implementations or migrations.
• Experience conducting independent internal vulnerability assessments and penetration testing upon approval from senior management.
• Strong analytical thinking skills combined with problem-solving abilities that enable you to recommend actionable solutions following thorough evaluations of risk profiles.
• Exceptional planning and organizing capabilities demonstrated through successful coordination of departmental activities aimed at maximizing employee productivity.
• Outstanding people management skills including coaching, mentoring, supervising direct reports, evaluating performance metrics, scheduling leave requests, and supporting career advancement.
