What you'll do:

As Shared Services Delivery Head Information Technology, you will be responsible for guiding a diverse team of professionals through the successful delivery of cross-functional technology solutions. Your day-to-day activities will involve managing project execution from inception to completion while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. You will foster an inclusive culture that values collaboration among Solution Designers, Delivery Services Engineers, Technical Delivery Managers, Business stakeholders, Product Owners, and Architecture teams. By establishing standardised frameworks for project delivery and monitoring risks across squads, you will help drive efficiency and scalability throughout the organisation. Your focus on talent development will ensure long-term sustainability of the team as you champion continuous improvement efforts. Through your leadership in resource management and process enhancement initiatives, you will play a critical role in advancing the digital transformation agenda while maintaining high standards of system development quality.

  • Lead, manage, and nurture the Shared Delivery Services team composed of Solution Designers, Delivery Services Engineers, and Technical Delivery Managers by fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Drive the planning and execution of systems delivery projects by ensuring quality standards are met, timelines are adhered to, and all deliverables align with business objectives across multiple business units.
  • Establish and maintain standardised delivery practices and frameworks that improve efficiency and scalability across teams while promoting consistency in project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with Business stakeholders, Product Owners, and Architecture teams to ensure technology solutions are fully aligned with enterprise strategy and organisational goals.
  • Monitor delivery risks and dependencies across squads by proactively identifying potential blockers, escalating issues when necessary, and resolving challenges to maintain project momentum.
  • Lead resourcing strategy by developing workforce plans that support long-term sustainability of the team while focusing on talent development initiatives.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts within the shared services model by evaluating current processes and implementing best practices for enhanced delivery maturity.

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in technology delivery with at least 5 years spent in a leadership or senior management capacity demonstrates your ability to guide large-scale teams effectively.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale systems development teams or delivery organisations within financial services or other regulated industries is highly preferred due to sector-specific requirements.
  • Strong understanding of systems delivery lifecycle methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall enables you to adapt processes according to project needs.
  • Expertise in solution design coupled with architecture alignment ensures that delivered solutions meet both technical specifications and business objectives.
