Why return home?
The economic development of the Philippines has been rapidly growing in recent years. As one of the booming economies in Southeast Asia region, there is a growing number of multinational companies setting up their offices in the Philippines.
More and more employers are looking for local talents who have an international exposure, there has never been a better time to come home to the Philippines.
Skills shortages
A lot of multinational companies are setting up their shared services centre in the Philippines; there is a vast number of job vacancies and not sufficient to fill them. There are particular skill scarcities in areas such as Cloud Infrastructure, IT Architects, Actuary, Audit, Compliance, Organisational Development and Finance Controllers. In this case, there are opportunities for both local and returning Filipinos.
Who is in demand in the Philippine market?
There is a rising demand for digital technology capabilities for companies in different industries. In relation to this, there is an increase in the local opportunities related to mobile, social, cloud, analytics, middleware and application security. Demand for accounting and finance professionals with business partnering, controlling, trade, securities, pricing, tax, actuary, treasury and internal audit experience will also be highly sought-after. Learning and Development, Organisational Development and business partners are also preferred for multinational companies or shared services.
